WORSHIP & VISUAL MEDIA TEAMS

ALCF Worship exists to lead the congregation to respond in worship to God through music. Our Worship Team desires to bring God's people to His throne through musical excellence, creativity and passion. Our Visual Media team ensures that our visuals, sound, audio and lighting all work together to create a seamless worship experience. Above all, we desire for God to be glorified through everything we do as a member of our worship and visual media teams (Col 3:16–17; 1 Cor 10:31).

WORSHIP & VISUAL MEDIA TEAM QUALIFICATIONS

Committed to ALCF: Team members are regular attenders in worship and actively support the leadership and mission of ALCF.

Spiritual Growth: Team members are growing disciples of Jesus—that includes prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers—knowing that everyone involved in the worship ministry is seen by the congregation and the world around us as leaders (Col 1:9–10, 2:6–7; Eph 4:13–15, 22–24; Rom 15:1–2).

Family Support: Supportive immediate family members—willing to accept the necessary time commitments for rehearsals, training and the Sunday Service schedule—are vital to the success of our team members.

WORSHIP TEAM

QUALIFICATIONS

Talents and Skills: Although we recognize the importance of a pure heart, the musician and vocalists also need to have enough musical skill, because we want to be the best that we can be in order to appropriately honor and worship God.

Ability to Cooperate with the Team: Working and blending with others must be a priority.

EXPECTATIONS

Probationary Period: New team members are required to participate in two rehearsals before leading a Sunday worship service in order to experience the work flow firsthand, and, most importantly, build team relationships.

Personal Practice: Team members are expected to prepare for group rehearsals and worship services by committing to personal practice.

Worship Rehearsals: Rehearsals take place Thursdays (6:30–8:30pm) and Sundays (8:30–9:30am). All team members, for the weekend they serve, are required to attend both rehearsals. Exceptions may be considered by music director for emergencies. Sufficient notice must be given to the weekend leader so that necessary adjustments/substitutions may be made.

Attire: Wisdom should be used to maintain a modest attire. Although business casual is a good place to start, we want members to have the liberty to express personal style, providing it’s not distracting. Examples of distracting attire include:

  • Sagging pants

  • Revealing or too tight clothing

  • Tank tops

Planning Center Online (PCO): Team members must be able to access Planning Center Online (PCO), as it’s the primary way we communicate.
